A clinical study carried out in 2003 with the aim of achieving an aspheric design that demonstrated that in visual acuity, comfort and contrast sensitivity was superior to any other aspheric design on the market today.
After a clinical study conducted over 18 months in 133 eyes and 79 patients of all ametropia in regular and irregular cornea with corneal astigmatism up to 2D, it is demonstrated under questionnaire in patients that it is a superior design for the following:
Visual acuity: The key was to incorporate a spherical optical zone while variable aspherical optical zones offer lower quality of vision.
Comfort: The key was in the adjustment of the eccentricity value to the population mean being ideal for different eccentricity values.
Contrast sensitivity: The key was to adjust the values of optical zone and peripheral control to obtain the best relation in the lacrimal meniscus to optimize the best cornea/lens centering.
